Who will Infonavit return money to?
The people to whom Infonavit will return its savings fund are those who contributed between May 1972 and February 1992 , who are pensioners in the IMSS, and who never used those resources destined to buy a home. It should be noted that the savings from the Housing Subaccounts created as of 1992 do not enter into this, only the Infonavit savings funds from 72-92.
The institution mentioned that the National Housing Fund is made up of 5% of the salary of each worker since 1972, and that all those between those dates that were not used to acquire a home continue in the Savings Fund, accumulating at the end of 2018 7 thousand 47 million pesos corresponding to 25.1 million accounts. This is why the institution will return 246.5 million pesos to 282 thousand people. How Infonavit is going to return the money
The refund of this money will take place as of April 1. This will be made automatically to the CLABE account of the IMSS pensioners who receive their respective pension on a monthly basis. It is important to mention that the relatives of deceased workers who continue to receive their pension will also have their money returned.
